Training in Play Work

Resources and Training - Training Programmes

PAHF supports and delivers play work training in the borough. We see play work as a profession in its own right and believe that the primary role of the play worker is to advocate for children's play and enhance play opportunities. For details of jobs and volunteering opportunities click here.

We work alongside other agencies such as the Local Authorities children's serivices department and local funders to secure further funding for play work training in the borough.

If you are in need of an accredited or professional play work qualification please contact us. All training featured, as well as training delivered by other providers is featured within our events calendar.

Most Play Work Training has a requirement that you carry out some work experience within a play work setting. This can be in a voluntary or paid capacity. If you require support with this please see jobs and volunteering or contact us. All Play work Training is now underpinned by the Play work Principles which have revised and replaced the Assumptions and Values of Play Work. Play Principles - Skills Active 2005
